It is hard to imagine that a whole year has flown by since I photographed this little peanut at a few days old!  

For anyone who is a parent, you know how long those newborn days can be.  It seems that all your time is filled with feeding, changing, crying (Mommy, too, sometimes), and surely not enough sleeping!  Slowly this gives way to smiles, coos, rolling over.  Then crawling, belly laughs, pointing, waving.  Next is standing, cruising, first few words!  And then, it seems, in the blink of an eye, your child is having her 1 year birthday.  Anyone still dry-eyed?  In hindsight we know that the time does go so fast that first year!  And I feel SO honored to be able to capture those moments, those stages that we all witness joyfully but briefly before they are gone... only to be remembered in our minds and through our photos.  This was our final stage shoot in Baby L's "Baby's First Year" program.  And what a celebration it was, ending in a Happy Birthday song and, of course, CAKE!  Can anyone think of anything more delicious than licking icing off of your baby's sweet cheeks???  

And I feel so good knowing that her parents will cherish her "Baby's First Year" album forever!  With more than 80 photos from 4 sessions, it has a little piece of who their baby was at each stage.  Beyond priceless.  I wish I had this beautiful heirloom treasure from my girls' first years!!!
