That gummy smile! Those chubby thighs! Those big blue eyes! I WAY overshot because I simply could not get enough of photographing this yummy baby! Our first scene was a pure and neutral palette; I love using whites and creams with little ones. :) Gracie's mom wanted her wearing her 'woollies' since that is what she wears, literally every day, all day (and actually all night, too). Friends and family can't imagine why, since she owns a crazy amount of the coolest clothes EVER; but momma loves her looking like a cute little Waldorf Baby! (I have to say I agree - natural fibers keeps baby warm (or cool), dry, and supports their immune system!) We got loads of great shots indoors, and then I talked Mom into dressing her in a more colorful wardrobe so we could go outside and enjoy Spring. The funny thing was, as soon as we sat Gracie down in the grass, she got very, very serious. I just LOVE the intense look on her face in most of those outdoor pix; she was absolutely fascinated by the blades of grass, the dandelions, and just by the powerful energy of sitting upon the Earth. It is so easy to forget how amazing the world is... sometimes we need a 6 month old to remind us to look around with a fresh new perspective!
