Princeton NJ Portrait Photographer - Spring Equinox Ritual

As many of you may know, my family feels very connected to the Earth and the Seasons.  And one of my husbands favorite traditions is to grow a beard on the Winter Solstice and shave it off on the Spring Equinox.  He loves it because he gets to stay warmer in the winter and I love it because I get to have a 'new' husband in the Spring!  Every year I mean to take photos of the ritual but never get around to it.  Well this year I did!  Usually we just laugh and laugh as he moves through different 'looks' but this time I actually got to capture it.  Lots of fun...

My Mountain Man

Over the years his beard has gotten more grey - he says that is my fault.

It begins...

We're already cracking up.  And I love that you can see me in the mirror.

Does anybody else hear the cheesy and suggestive 70's music?  Chicka Chicka Whaa Whaa.

Who are you and what did you do with my husband???

Now I am hearing Metallica.

The rest comes off...

There's my babyface!
